We are looking for a skilled, experienced, and passionate Accredited Exercise Physiologist (EP) to join the Allied Health team at the YMCA, Marion Leisure and Fitness Centre. A unique opportunity offering full-time, 38 hours per week has presented itself to contribute to the fast-growing allied health program delivering exceptional wellness outcomes to our community.


THE ROLE

The role of the Exercise Physiologist is to design and deliver tailored clinical health programs for clients, based on thorough assessment and evidence-based practice, towards reaching functional goals. Duties may include one on one assessments and treatment sessions, exercise prescription for clients, leading clinical group exercise sessions tailored to specific health concerns, and facilitating health education workshops.

Presenting clients may include Cardiac Rehabilitation, Neurological, Orthopaedic or Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Diabetes Management, Mental health conditions and a variety of other health conditions. The ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team to optimise client outcomes is essential.

Working with referrers and clients to facilitate access to funding and deliver programs via a variety of compensatory schemes is vital.

We are searching for an AEP with some industry experience, passion for working with people towards achieving their health goals, and enthusiasm for working within a vibrant team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Exercise Physiology
  • Exercise and Sports Science Australia Accreditation
  • National police check (NPC) (must be within 6 months of issue date)
  • Working with children check or equivalent
  • HLTAID001 Provide CPR
