THE ROLE
The YMCA of South Australia is seeking a Service Director for our new Early Learning Centre opening in Strathalbyn, opening between 28th of January - 11th of February 2025. The role will commence as soon as possible to begin induction, complete training and support the establishment of the new ELC. The role is full-time at 76 hours per fortnight.
As a motivated and customer focused individual, the Director will establish and lead a highly dedicated and passionate team of Educators in the exceptional delivery of the National Quality Framework.
The Director will help create the highest quality customer service, further the social, emotional, and interpersonal development of children, and foster a supportive environment where children, families and educators feel safe and happy.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
- Proven Experience as a Service Director and experience in a similar Leadership capacity
- Ability to provide leadership and direction to staff including maintaining the standards of services
- Demonstrated ability to create a welcoming atmosphere by engaging all people in a friendly and approachable manner
- Tertiary qualifications in Children’s Services (relevant field)
- Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care” (RRHAN-EC) Training
- Current HLTAID012 Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education & Care Setting
- Current HLTAID009 Provide CPR
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
