THE ROLE

We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join us at our brand-new Early Learning Centre in Strathalbyn. At the Y, we are committed to providing an exceptional level of care and education for children.

The Early Childhood Teacher will collaborate with educators in the room and across the centre to ensure high quality education, care and developmental outcomes for each child, in line with an educational and developmentally appropriate program. Early Childhood Teachers are responsible for implementing high quality early childhood pedagogy and practice. As a key pedagogical leader at the centre, the Early Childhood Teacher will lead and provide ongoing support and assistance to the nominated supervisor to implement the National Quality Framework

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Obtained or studying a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood), Master of Teaching (Early Childhood), or equivalent
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • (HLTAID009) Provide CPR
  • (HLTAID012) Provide First Aid in Education and Care Setting
  • Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect” (RRHAN) training
  • Food Safety certification
