THE ROLE

Aldinga YMCA Early Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Diploma Qualified Educator, to join our team. As a renowned provider of exceptional care and education to children, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of service to families in our care.

As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping young minds and positively impacting the lives of children and their families. Working under the guidance of our experienced ELC Director, your responsibilities will include assisting families with sensitivity and professionalism, assisting with positive behaviour management procedures, and promoting the inclusion of children with additional needs.

This role is a part-time opportunity, with full-time considered. Offering a minimum of 3 days per week (Tuesday-Friday), with immediate start available.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Must hold a Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education (or other equivalent field)
  • (HLTAID009) Provide CPR
  • (HLTAID012) Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
  • Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect” (RRHAN) training
  • Experience interacting with groups of children from 0-6 years
  • Awareness of accountability, legal liability, and duty of care to children
